Are you a hosting company?

DCVI Studios provides hosting services to our clients as a way of making sure their websites are up 99.9% of the time and that they are getting all of the services they want and need. It also allows us to offer several features not available elsewhere. If you are happy with your Web site but wish to use our hosting and services, contact us to discuss your particular situation.

Can we edit our website ourselves?

Yes you can. DCVI Studios will create and manage your website using a Content Management System (CMS). A CMS provides all of the essential tools needed to take control of your website. This system allows for distributed content creation and management from any computer with a high-speed Internet connection. Multiple user levels, image management and so much more.

What is a domain name?

The unique name that identifies a website. Domain Names always have 2 or more parts, separated by dots. The part on the left is the most specific (www.yourdomainname), and the part on the right is the most general (.com, .net, .org). A given machine may have more than one Domain Name but a given Domain Name points to only one machine.

Who owns the domain?

This question requires a two-part answer:

1. It is a myth that anyone "owns" a domain name. Names are registered, leased and licensed for use with annual fees required to maintain the registration.

2. With that said, you as the client retain ultimate rights to your domain. DCVI Studios is often the *registrar on file and manages all aspects of doman management for our cleints.

I have a website and hosting but I'm not happy, how can you help?

DCVI Studios will transform your website, content and data into the tool for online marketing that you need it to be. DCVI Studios can facilitate the migration of your website to our servers.

We have many clients who have come to us with an existing website and services in need of a change.

Can we have multiple domains

Yes, you can. DCVI Studios will redirect additional domain names to your primary website, index pages or deep links.

You should have a budget

When considering any marketing effort you always have a budget. When planning to develop a website the case is no different, have a budget in mind. Consider how much you are willing to invest at this time with the knowledge that you can always scale up and expand your online services at a later date. With your budget in mind have realistic expectations for your project.
