Your website pages should be fast-loading. Web pages that load slowly because of excessive graphics, file sizes and animations will cause visitors to leave your website before the page finishes loading.
- Your website pages should load in a reasonable amount of time; 10 seconds or less is very good.
- With most homes having high speed connections more media-rich presentations are being created. The result is pages that sometimes take 30 or more seconds to load.
- Keep pages short. Pages should not be more than 5 times the height of the screen in most cases.
